The Assets Protection and Loss Prevention Program has been in existence since 1977 when a Bachelor of Science Degree was established. This degree program provides students with a diversified and balanced program of study that will serve to produce an individual who has the capacity to function in a broad range of positions in Loss Prevention. In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, the Assets Protection / Loss Prevention Program offers innovative seminars and workshops on topics such as Special Management Services, Computer Security, Terrorism / Counterterrorism, Hotel / Motel Security, Officer / Personnel Training, and other specially designed programs.
Assets Protection professionals are responsible for protecting the personnel, physical and information assets of corporations against loss caused by criminal activity, unethical practices and disaster. Their responsibilities may include developing protection policies, conducting staff training programs, auditing corporate compliance, investigating employee misconduct and criminal activities, conduct criminal investigations committed against the corporation, disaster management planning and coordination, safety management, insurance and risk management and other related functions.
